Mrs AHM Samad passed away a few hours ago ( Friday, July 23, 2010) in Rome, NY (USA) and the funeral will be in Toronto, Canada which is her home. She is the beloved mother of Ashra, Rosie, Shan, Lee and Renza. I was fortunate to meet her a few weeks ago in Toronto. She was in great spirits at the Birthday Bash of Lee ( my classmate at Royal). The entire family were also present and had a chance to see and be with the mother. She will be missed by all.
The funeral is scheduled for Sunday July 25, 2010 at 2 pm at the Islamic Foundation , 441 NUGGET AVENUE , SCARBOROUGH ,TORONTO ,ONT,M1S 5E1.

Demise - Daughter of Daya and Sister of Santusht Perera - Suki Amerasekara
Dr. (Mrs.) Suki Amerasekara passed away this morning in US. She is the wife of Dr. Vimal Amerasekara of Toronto, and only daughter of Daya Perera (former Sri Lanka High Commissioner in Canada) and late Mrs. Perera.
Only sister of Dr. Santusht Perera of NJ.

Dr Anantham Harin
Harin just passed away at 1.45 pm NY time (7/14/10) at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. He had cardiac failure and was on a ventilator for about a week.

Beloved husband of Nirupa, son of late Mr and Mrs. Anantham, brother of Satchie, Indira, and late Subadra, son-in-law of Mrs. A.Kumarasingham and late Mr. Kumarasingham, brother-in-law of Sri and Giri expired.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to ASPCA or organizations of your choice. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Methodist Church, Moors Road, Wellawatte, Sri Lanka at 4:00 PM July 17. Please cross post as appropriate.
